Pictures of Places

I came home yesterday from a great trip to Seattle. I really enjoyed spending time with my family in Washington. It's great to be back at smog, I mean home, because I have a lot to do to prepare for my summer plans. Washington was so nice, there were fur trees all over the place (like LA's palm trees except there were way more fur trees), and on clear days you could see the snow-topped Mt. Ranier about 100 miles away (See Picture). It was so tall and magnificent, like no other mountain, a tall volcano, unchallenged by any peaks nearby--it stood out of the Washington landscape. I'm not sure, but I think I saw Mt. Ranier, as wells as Mt. St. Helens, from Portland Oregon!
My flights back were very interesting. On the first one--35 minutes from Sea-Tac to PDX--I took my first trip on a Turbo-Prop plane. While we were in flight, the pilot told us that he was going to take us on a mini-tour of Mt. St. Helens. I couldn't believe how close we got to the huge crater-mountain (See picture). The other two flights were on normal Jets and my dream came true on the first of the two flights: they showed "The Office"! The final flight was boring until we flew into the airport and I think I saw the place where I run all the time. I really enjoyed my trip to Seattle and now I'm looking foward to training for Cross-Country.

If you look closely at the very center of the picture you'll see Mt. Rainier among the clouds.

Not my picture but approximately 98.421% identical to the view I had on the plane (we were a little closer).
